But this game involves a lot of blood and bleeding for those that care.. Great game.. You know, for a game with 'Nightmares' in the title, I thought this would be... how should I put it... DissapointingOH BOY WAS I WRONG. This game is really fun!This is another case of your traditional RPG fare, but instead of the normal lighthearted tone, you've got a few horror elements here and there in both story 'and' game mechanics, both of which as of now (I'm in Chapter 4), are pretty compelling.So. How does it play? Pretty simple. Outside of a dungeon, it's a point and click adventure for all sorts of interactions. Nothing new there.IN DUNGEON, HOWEVER. It's a first person dungeon crawler that tosses you into an area full of monsters, long damn corridors, and plenty of exploration to do. These areas are HUGE. There's plenty to look at, to test, etc. While it 'is' true it trades out understanding until you really pick up the ins-and-outs and all the controls and what-not, this is really fun.As with any RPG, it encourages planning and strategy, but what I like about this game is the 'blood' system.Let me put it in simple terms. In battle, there are 5 spots of blood below each of your party members. During battle, they may fill up. If they fill up, depending on the colour, you will get one of two outcomes.-Massacre mode, where their stats are kicked up, given a new move or two and let them kick some serious butt for a turn or two.-Blood Skelter - abandon hope, all ye who suffer it. This is the real risk and reward. Good? They get all the bonuses from Massacre mode and multiple moves. Bad? They can hit your own team.If you want an RPG with a new spice, THIS is something I can recommend to you.You want a bloody hell? This ought to suffice your masochistic urges... if you're that bloodthirsty, that is. ^.^. This game is broken and the developers haven't done anything to fix it yet, nor communicated with the community.- There is a bug with icons on dungeons- The game crashes randomly sometimes- FPS goes the down as you descend into a dungeon.
